Building description

View from the east

The building has a round apse into which a high arched window is set to the east. This shape can also be found in the four equally high windows on the north and south sides of the nave . A smaller, high window is above a narrow, rectangular central portal on both sides of the nave, creating a symmetrical structure across the entire facade. The walls are plastered flat ; the base is kept in white, the rest of the building is painted in a pastel-colored, warm tone. Above the windows in the area of the apse and the tower is a surrounding cornice , the shape of which is emphasized by a white paint. The sides of the nave are decorated with guttae , also painted white, above and between the windows . The square and recessed west tower takes up this design language. On the ground floor there is a portal on the west side, above a window that takes up the height of the windows from the central portals. At the height of the eaves of the nave is a surrounding cornice on the tower. Another creates the transition to the tower decorated with pilaster strips , in which a segmented arcade of sound can be seen on each of the three visible sides . Above a star-shaped decoration follows a curly hood , which is closed by a tower ball with a weather vane and cross. The roof is covered with black slate; the other roof areas with red beaver tail . Two bat dormers are installed on the north and south sides .

Furnishing

The polygonal pulpit and the horseshoe gallery date from the time the church was built; the organ was installed in the middle of the 19th century. The nave and the apse are flat-roofed and decorated with a cove .

A boulder with the names of those killed in the First World War stands on the elevation to the northwest of the building .
