The Zöllnitz village church is located in the municipality of Zöllnitz in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . The village church Zöllnitz is centrally located in the village. The village of Zöllnitz is located west of the city of Stadtroda in the Rodatal and borders on the southeastern edge of the city of Jena .

history

The village church was built around 1715. There is an inscription -1837 renovated- on the portal of the northern nave.

architecture

The hall church is simple and unadorned. The roof tower is slender and is located in the east above the choir . It is square above the roof and is octagonal in shape to form the hood and is closed off with the lantern .

In the church space, three-sided two-storey galleries run along the walls . The wooden ceiling is arched flat, barrel-shaped .

Furnishing

The pulpit altar with a pair of columns and gable is surrounded with carved angels and emblems. The baptismal font and the cantor's chair are in the room. The organ is from 1749.
