Doris am Ende (born January 22, 1857 in Dresden ; † April 5, 1944 there ) was a German landscape painter and graphic artist .

Life

The painter and graphic artist and relative of the artist Hans am Ende received her training at the Dresden and Munich art academies . Further studies took her to the Worpswede artists' colony . She then worked in Dresden. She was a member of the Dresden Art Cooperative and co-founder of the local association of Dresden women artists . In 1902 she stayed in the Ahrenshoop artists' colony , as can be seen from an entry in the guest book of the painter Paul Müller-Kaempff .

Doris at the end achieved her fame primarily through landscape etchings , with which she a. a. the Munich Glass Palace , the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and the Dresden Art Exhibition. In 1901 she exhibited at the Association of Berlin Women Artists , of which she was a member from 1901 to 1927. In 1909 she was also involved in the second graphic exhibition of the German Association of Artists in the Arnold Gallery in Dresden.
