Dorit David

Dorit David (born November 1, 1968 in Schwedt / Oder ) is a German clown , actress and theater pedagogue as well as writer and illustrator .

Life

Dorit David grew up in the former GDR and has been artistically supported and promoted since her earliest childhood. As a painter, the autodidact won a first international prize at the age of 7.

After attending school in 1992, Dorit David went to Hanover , where she trained as a “state-approved clown” at the TuT School for Clown, Comedy and Theater and then worked as a freelance actress and theater teacher (BuT).

In 1998 the artist joined the improvisational theater group Hannover98 , which was founded in the same year and which has since performed regularly once a month at the Faust cultural center in Linden . David is also connected to the fensterzurstadt theater .

Since 2006 Dorit David has published numerous illustrations for the Thieme and Beltz publishers . As a writer and illustrator, she also publishes for Synergia-Verlag .

Dorit David is married and has two children.
