Dornstetten is a district of the municipality of Unterdießen in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .
geography
The parish village of Dornstetten is about three kilometers east of Unterdießen on a gravel terrace of the Lech .
In Dornstetten there is the late Gothic branch church of St. Gangwolf, which was built in 1478 by a certain master Veit from Landsberg.
North of Dornstetten is the training area Landsberger garrison former Lechrain barracks .
To the east of the church village is the Lech barrage 13 - Dornstetten .
history
Dornstetten is first mentioned in 1471 as Daerenstetten .
Dornstetten belonged to the district court of Schongau of the Electorate of Bavaria and was part of the imperial knighthood rule Unterdießen / Waal .
On March 1, 1925, the previously independent community was incorporated into Unterdießen.
