Life

Koomson, who grew up in London, studied psychology and journalism at the University of Leeds . She successfully completed both subjects. She has written for a number of journals and magazines, apart from the seven novels she has published to date.

At the age of 13, she wrote her first novel There's A Thin Line Between Love And Hate , which was never published. In 2003 she made her novel debut with The Cupid Effect . Her third novel, My Best Friend's Girl (2006) was shortlisted by Richard and Judy's Summer Reads and was subsequently a huge hit, when the work sold 90,000 copies in the first two weeks.

She describes the science fiction author JG Ballard as her favorite author , just as she describes the style of writing of other authors in this genre, especially Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett , as shaping the style for herself. Of the modern writers in her own field, she prefers Jane Green , Marian Keyes , Sarah Ball , Madelaine Wickham and some of Andrea Semple's . In addition, as a great role model Jane Austen and with the male authors, Mark Barrowcliffe and Nick Hornby are in the foreground. Oprah Winfrey inspired her to give up the ultimately unpopular work as a journalist in Australia and to work as a freelance writer.

Her works, which they usually on the laptop writes in bed or on the sofa, she referred to herself as "emotional thriller", ie emotional thriller .
