Dorra Mahfoudhi ( Arabic درة محفوظي, DMG Durra Maḥfūẓī ; * August 7, 1993 ) is a Tunisian pole vaulter .

Athletic career

Dorra Mahfoudhi gained her first international experience at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore , where she finished fifth in the B final with a skipped 3.45 m. The following year she won with 3.40 m at the Junior African Championships in Gaborone and then with 3.60 m at the African Games in Maputo . In addition, she won the silver medal behind the Moroccan Nisrine Dinar at the Pan-Arab Games in Doha with 3.65 m . In 2012 she won the bronze medal at the African Championships in Porto-Novo with 3.40 m behind her compatriot Syrine Balti and Juanita Stander from South Africa. In 2013 she was fourth and fifth in the pole vault and long jump at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang with 3.65 m and 4.88 m respectively . The following year she won the bronze medal again at the African Championships in Marrakech with 3.70 m, this time behind Balti and Dinar. At the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville she had to admit defeat to Balti at the same height, but also set a new player record with 4.10 m.

In 2016 she won silver at the African Championships in Durban with 3.80 m behind Balti and in 2017 she won the Arab Championships in Radès with 4.15 m. In 2018 she was sixth at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona with 4.11 m and then won the African Championships in Asaba with 4.10 m . At the Continental Cup in Ostrava , she took sixth place with a height of 4.00 m. The following year, she defended her title at the Arab Championships in Cairo with 4.00 m. At the end of August, she increased her personal best at the African Games in Rabat to 4.31 m, setting a new player record and thus securing the gold medal.

In 2013 Mahfoudhi became the Tunisian champion in pole vault.
