Dorree Cooper

Dorree Cooper (* in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is an American production designer and art director .

Life

Cooper began her career in film crew in 1983 as a Design Assistant at the B-Movie - Horror Eyes of Fire . From 1986 she worked as a production designer, her first feature film in this capacity was the comedy film Soul Man . For the Disney comedy Darling, I've Shrunk the Children , she acted as art director in 1989. In the 1980s she was involved in a number of horror films, such as Nightmare - Murderous Dreams and House - The Horror House . By the early 1990s, she worked on a number of major Hollywood productions , including Batman & Robin and The Jury .

For the drama Legends of Passion , she and Lilly Kilvert were nominated for an Oscar in the category of best production design in 1995 , but this year the award went to King George - A Kingdom for More Mind .

Between 1999 and 2005 she did not work in film or television. Since then she has worked on the feature film Year One and the television series Common Law .
