Dot Rotten (born October 19, 1987 ; real name Joseph Ellis ) is a British grime rapper.
biography
Joseph Ellis is from south London and released his first mixtape This Is the Beginning as Young Dot as a teenager . With the next release RIP Young Dot , he changed his name to Dot Rotten. With P-Money and Little Dee he formed the OGz crew.
In the following years he worked as a producer with, among others, Tinie Tempah and Wiley and went on tour with Chase & Status and Dappy as support. The benefit single Teardrop for Children in Need was one of many well-known British performers who released under the name The Collective in late 2011 .
In early 2012 he was nominated by the BBC for the Sound of 2012 , a list of artists predicted to break through that year. With his single Are You Not Entertained he had a respectable success in March and three months later he had his first top 20 hit with Overload .
