It rises in the municipality of Plouigneau , generally drains north-west to west and flows into the English Channel after 21 kilometers at the hamlet of Le Dourduff en Mer , in the municipality of Plouezoc'h , in the bay of Rade de Morlaix . Below the hamlet of Le Dourduff en Terre , it is already influenced by the tides and forms an estuary . The Dourduff meets the Morlaix river here , but according to official information it does not flow into it, but is an independent coastal river.
