Dragan Gajič (born July 21, 1984 in Celje , SR Slovenia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian handball player . His body length is 1.88 m.

Career

Gajič, who currently plays for the top Hungarian club Telekom Veszprém (shirt number 17) and plays for the Slovenian national team (shirt number 7), is left-handed either on the right wing or in the right back .

Dragan Gajič began playing handball with the Slovenian series champion RK Celje in his hometown. As a young talent he was loaned to RK Rudar Evj Trbovlje by Celje in order to gain match practice. In 2004 he returned to his home club after Celje's triumph in the EHF Champions League . There he won the Slovenian Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2007, and the Slovenian Cup in 2006 and 2007. Gajič signed a contract with Montpellier Handball in the summer of 2011 . With Montpellier he won the French championship in 2012 and the French cup in 2012, 2013 and 2016. In 2014 and 2016 he won the league cup and reached the final in the EHF Europa Pokal 2013/14 , in which he was defeated by Pick Szeged . In summer 2016 he switched to the Hungarian club MKB Veszprém . With Veszprém he won the Hungarian championship and the Hungarian cup in 2017 and 2019. From the 2020/21 season he will play for the French first division club Limoges Hand 87 .

Dragan Gajič has so far played 151 international matches for the Slovenian national team. At the 2007 men's handball world championship in Germany, he finished 10th with his country.
