The album received mixed reviews. At Laut.de the album received three out of five possible stars. The reviewer Alexander Austel writes:

“You can hear that this life goes to his head in almost every verse on Shindy's third long player. He not only indulges his hotel lifestyle, but also the rampant consumption. [...] Nevertheless, he succeeds in rhyming surprises here and there, which unfortunately then quickly lose their luster. "

The hip-hop portal rap.de sees the album from a positive perspective and sums it up:

“Shindy has also refined his game on the mic. He worked particularly on his voice. Instead of just presenting everything in a steady, demonstratively displayed boredom, he shows a brisk, smoky, croaking, somewhat more aggressive delivery for many parts. [...] In view of this elegant, lyrical aesthetic, it is only logical that the content should continue to consist mainly of materialism of the overpriced kind, as with the predecessor. "

The online magazine MZEE even drew the following conclusion:

"With" Dreams "Shindy not only shows himself to be a confident, capable artist, the album itself is also an aesthetically appealing and perfectly functioning work of art. A work of art that is completely absorbed in itself, so that less decorative accessories - such as questionable box accessories - can be safely ignored. "
