NWA (in this case the abbreviation for Never Work Again ) is the debut album by German rapper Shindy . It was released on July 12, 2013 via Bushido's label ersguterjunge as a standard and premium edition, including three bonus songs and instrumentals. With effect from July 19, 2013, the sound carrier was indexed on July 17, 2013 by the Federal Inspectorate for Media Harmful to Young People and confiscated nationwide by the Berlin District Court . As a result of a court ruling in May 2015, however, this was temporarily removed from the list of media harmful to minors.

Most of the beats on the album were produced by Shindy himself. According to his own statement, he produced and took over the instrumental of the title song NWA , the song Immer immer mehr and the song Favorite song completely himself. The producers Beatzarre , Djorkaeff and Bushido also contributed some instrumentals.
Cover design
The album cover shows Shindy with sunglasses, a watch, a leopard print jacket and her hands in her trouser pockets. As seen from the observer, he directs his gaze to the right. The picture is in shades of purple and blue. The light blue lettering Shindy is at the top right of the picture and in the middle is the title NWA . The background is white. Amf management presented is also at the top of the picture . The cover of the Premium Edition shows exactly the same illustration, but in the colors yellow and green.
Guest Posts
There are guest contributions by other artists on six or seven songs on the album. Shindy's label boss Bushido supports him on the four songs Immer more and more (together with the rapper Sido ), Springfield , Stress ohne Grund and Panamera Flow . The singer Julian Williams sings the refrains of the pieces Favorite Song and Mirror Image . The rapper Eko Fresh can also be heard on the track Martin Scorsese .
Controversy
Bushido's guest contribution on the song Stress ohne Grund , also published as a video, caused a lot of criticism from various politicians and the examination of legal steps. In it, the rapper insults politicians Klaus Wowereit (SPD), Claudia Roth (Greens) and Serkan Tören (FDP) and threatens some violence against them.
Originally, the song alcoholized pedophiles , which is a disstrack against rapper Kay One , should be included on the album. However, this was prevented by Kay One under threat from a lawyer.

NWA entered the German as well as the Austrian album charts at number 1. In Switzerland, the album debuted at number 3. Due to the indexing, however, the sound carrier was only able to stay in the top 100 for one week in Germany. According to Bushido, the album has sold around 40,000 times to date, as he announced in an interview.

- Singles
The single Panamera Flow reached number 51 in the German and Austrian charts. The track Always more and more was released for download on June 21, 2013 and was able to position itself in Austria at number 62. Due to heavy downloads, Stress reached number 19 in the single charts for no reason . The song Springfield was ranked 88th. In addition to the videos for the singles Panamera Flow and Stress without a reason , a video for NWA / Ice-T was also released .

HipHop.de magazine described the album as "thoroughly successful and consistent". In addition, Shindy's flow was compared with that of Fler and the arrest warrant . The album received 7.5 out of a possible 10 points:

The indexing of NWA came into force in Germany on July 19, 2013. However, Amazon took the album out of its range on July 17, 2013. The sound carrier was released again on August 2, 2013 with four new songs under the name NWA 2.0 . In addition to the songs Kein Fick , Springfield and Martin Scorsese , the track Stress for no reason was given as reasons for the indexing . The three-party panel responsible for the indexing stated that the phonogram contained songs that were "threatening, inciting violence and discriminating against women and homosexuals ".
In May 2015, the court ruling regarding the indexing fell out for the Ersguterjunge rappers and thus the music video on Stress was released on YouTube again a few days later for no reason , but with an age restriction. The album NWA has also been available in stores again since June 16 and has been temporarily removed from the list of media harmful to minors.

Shortly after the indexing, Bushido and Shindy announced a re-release of the album under the name NWA 2.0 , which was released on August 2, 2013 and instead of the songs responsible for the indexing Springfield , Kein Fick , Martin Scorsese and Stress for no reason, the songs Springfield 2 , My shit , Bruce Wayne and stress for a reason should contain. The song Stress with Reason is a collaboration with the rappers Haftbefehl and Bushido . Bushido is represented on the songs Immer more and more , Springfield 2 and Panamera Flow at the same time .
