The Dreibörnerbach , also called Dreibörner Wasser , is a creek almost three kilometers long, which rises on the northern slope of the Sonnenhübel and flows further west in the Köningsholz into the Triebenbach . To make room for agricultural land, almost half of its course was piped .

Flora and fauna

Fish ponds on the upper reaches of the stream

The stream flows through several small ponds that are used for rearing and catching brown trout . In February 2011 it was decided to revitalize these ponds.

Several small swampy forest areas have been preserved along the brook, in these you can find the swamp heart leaf , the opposed milkweed and the long-stemmed sedge , which is quite rare in Germany . Other plants that occur are the elder-leaved valerian and the hornwort , from the mushroom family the common ball-quick can be found.
