Drenova ( Albanian  also  Drenovë ) is a village in southeast Albania in the Korça district . The village is south of the city of Korça .

The municipality, which was integrated into the municipality of Korça in 2015, had 5581 inhabitants according to the 2011 census. Local sources indicate the population of the municipality as 11,021 people (2009). 16% of the residents are younger than 15 years, 17% are 65 years old or older. Of 2,211 apartments or houses in the municipality, 448 are vacant and 330 are owned by non-residents.

Until a few decades ago, most of the residents spoke Bulgarian and Macedonian . Today they have largely assimilated into the Albanian environment.

The place is on the edge of the Korça plain at around 940  m above sea level. A. The municipality is one of two neighboring municipalities of Korças and surrounds the city in the south. In the mountains south of Drenova, coal was  mined during socialism  and  burned in the power stations in Korça and Maliq . The occurrence is considered to be the oldest and richest in calories in the country. Silkworms were bred in the region even earlier . Mulberry trees were  necessary for the cultivation , and the berries were distilled in schnapps (raki mani) , for which some villages in the municipality are still famous throughout the country.

Forests in the mountains south of the village and the mines are protected as the Drenova National Park. The village of Dardha is located over ten kilometers from Drenova in the mountains at over 1300  m above sea level. A. It has a core of historic houses and is a destination for excursions that also has Albania's only ski lift. Other sights in the municipality include the mountains and the old Orthodox churches in Boboshtica and Mborja.

There is a maximum security prison in Drenova .
