Drive-by shooting is a documentary film by Andy Anderson about the creeping rise in crime in Fort Worth ( Texas ) and their everyday life.

The film shows slow tracking shots from the side window of a car as it drives through the streets of Fort Worth. A monotonous voice tells of the crimes that have been committed at the point in the film. Both minor offenses such as theft of food tokens and serious offenses such as murder or rape are listed. Many of the cases described are domestic violence.

Anderson wants to show that violence often takes place in areas that are similar to their own neighborhood. The reports were taken from newspaper articles and police reports and describe the acts within a period of two months. During the documentation, care was taken to ensure that no people are shown if possible.

Drive-by shooting is 120 minutes long. It was first performed on 3sat in 1996 as an endless loop in two-channel sound (English, German) and repeated on December 30, 2000.
