Drumoig is a town in the Scottish Council Area Fife . It is about seven kilometers northwest of St Andrews and six kilometers southeast of Dundee .

history

Drumoig is a very young town. It was built in the open field from 1996. The aim was to create a settlement for golf. In addition to private houses and hotels, there are training facilities for golf in Drumoig. The Scottish Golf Union operates the Scottish National Golf Center there . A golf course surrounds the village. On the outskirts is the Vicarsford Cemetery Chapel from the 1890s .

traffic

The A914 ( Newport-on-Tay - Muirhead ) passes the village to the west. It connects Drumoig to the A92 trunk road ( Dunfermline - Stonehaven ) within a few kilometers .
