The Dumbach is an almost one and a half kilometer long watercourse in the southern Palatinate part of the Wasgau ( Rhineland-Palatinate ) and a right tributary of the Lauter , which is still called Wieslauter here on its upper course .
course
The Dumbach rises at an altitude of 211 m above sea level. NN in the middle Wasgau in the Dahner Felsenland in the Gangelswiesen , which lie west of Bruchweiler-Bärenbach on the northern edge of the Rumbach district directly on the border with Bruchweiler-Bärenbach. It initially flows in a northeastern direction. After a good two hundred meters, it is fed by the outflow of a fish pond on its right . It now turns to the southeast and is then the border between the two places. A little further down the stream it is dammed into three other small fish ponds. It now reaches the outskirts of Bruchweiler-Bärenbach. At a tennis court, it disappears underground and reappears after about three hundred meters on the surface. It then crosses under Otto-Muck-Straße and finally flows out at an altitude of 192 m above sea level. NN from the right into the Wieslauter .
