The dark-spore or black-leaved truss ( Stropharia melanosperma ) is a type of fungus from the genus of truss ( Stropharia ).

features

The dark-pored Trüsselling forms fruiting bodies with hats about 3–5 cm wide when young, hemispherical, later convex to flat convex hats. The whitish to gray-beige hat surface, yellowish in the center, is smooth and matt, slightly slimy when moist. The sharp and smooth brim of the hat is bent down for a long time. The stalk, which is full when young and hollow with age, becomes about 3.5–7 cm long and 5–8 mm thick, it is rigid and brittle, its surface is white and finely powdered above the hanging membranous ring, and also white and below the ring longitudinally fibrous. The ring is white when young, spores brown when old. The broad, young whitish lamellae turn grayish-violet when the spores ripen; in old age they are violet-black, they rise on the stalk and are narrow.

ecology

The dark-pored Trüsselling is a saprobiont that grows on litter and humus. It prefers areas with a high nitrogen content in meadows, park lawns and similar grassy locations. Its fruiting bodies appear in Central Europe in summer and autumn, and also in May if they advance.

distribution

The dark-pored Trüsselling occurs in North Africa, the Caucasus region, Siberia and Europe. In Europe, it is found in Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Switzerland, Hungary, and Germany, and goes northeast to Estonia and east to Belarus. It is rare in Germany, but is not considered endangered.
