The Durbeke is an approximately 8.7 km long orographic right tributary of the Beke in the Eggegebirge in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia .

The stream rises directly on the main ridge of the Egge Mountains, about 1 km north of Kempen at an altitude of 374 m above sea level. NN . From here the stream flows primarily in a south-westerly direction. It flows through Kempen, to the southwest of the village the brook seeps into the ground so that the lower reaches lies in a typical dry valley . About 2.3 km west of Altenbeken the Durbeke flows out at 205 m above sea level. NN on the right side in the Beke .
On its 8.7 km long path, the stream overcomes a height difference of 169 m, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 19.4 ‰. The Durbeke drains a 10.95 km² catchment area via the Beke, Lippe and Rhine to the North Sea .
Water flow
The Durbeke only has water all year round in the upper reaches, sometimes also in the lower middle reaches. Continuous water flow, however, only occurs after particularly long heavy rain or after the snow has melted .
