The Durlinggraben is an approximately one kilometer long right tributary of the Bruckbach near Westheim in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

geography

course

The Durlinggraben rises at an altitude of 463  m above sea level. NN northeast of Westheim at the edge of the Lachwald forest to the open corridor around Ostheim , which it follows on about east-south-east. After about half of the run, the Gänswiesgraben, which runs alongside field paths, flows into the stream from Ostheim . The Durlinggraben flows after a 1.0 km long run at an altitude of 450  m above sea level. NN north-west of Westheim immediately after crossing the federal highway 466 from the right into the Bruckbach.

Catchment area

The Durlinggraben drains about 1.5 km² of the natural area foreland of the southern Franconian Jura approximately east-southeast to the Wörnitz tributary of the Bruckbach. Its catchment area borders with the northwestern watershed, which runs over the highest point of the catchment area on the Turtelberg ( 508  m above sea level ), on that of the more important Wörnitz tributary Grundbach . Beyond the north-east, the right-hand Bruckbach-Oberlauf runs, beyond the east this itself, while the south-west near the stream separates further down through the Lachwald from a smaller tributary of the Bruckbach.

The Durlachgraben runs consistently in the Black Jura , while the Gänswiesgraben, which begins as an artificial field path drainage, initially drains a piece of the Braunjura . Colorful debris ejected by the Ries impact lies on the top of the Turtelberg . With the exception of only small fringes of the town of Wassertrüdingen in the Ansbach district in the far west, the catchment area belongs entirely to the Westheim community.
