Dustin Schumacher (born June 9, 1991 in Cologne ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Ratinger Ice Aliens in the major league since the 2010/11 season .

Career

Dustin Schumacher began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth team of the Cologne EC . From 2006 to 2009 the defender played for the Cologne EC Junghaie in the German Junior League , where he was the player with the most penalty minutes in the 2008/09 season with a total of 177 penalty minutes. Before the 2008/09 season , the native of Cologne received a contract for the professional team of the Kölner Haie . He made his debut in the German Ice Hockey League on February 13, 2009 in the away defeat at Füchsen Duisburg . In the 2009/10 season he played with a production license at the upper division Herner EV , before moving to the Ratinger Ice Aliens for the new season .
