Dylan Osetkowski (born August 8,  1996 in San Diego ) is an American - German basketball player .

career

On the maternal side, Osetkowski is of German descent: his grandmother was born in Bremerhaven , his mother has US and German citizenship. He played as a teenager at JSerra Catholic High School in Orange County , California , at the beginning of the 2014/15 season he began studying at Tulane University (state of Louisiana ) and played 65 missions for their college team by the end of the 2015/16 season . He achieved averages of 8.9 points and 6.6 rebounds.

In 2016 he moved to the University of Texas at Austin and had to sit out during the 2016/17 season according to the NCAA's transfer regulations . After that, Osetkowski was a regular player, was in the starting line-up in his 34 appearances in the 2017/18 season and scored 13.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per encounter. In 2018/19 his season values ​​were 11.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, and Osetkowski was on the field from the start in all of his appearances.

In the summer break of 2019 he signed a contract with the German Bundesliga club Ratiopharm Ulm , but was immediately loaned to the relay competitor BG Göttingen . In the "Veilchen" competition, Osetkowski was a top performer, until the 2019/20 season was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic , he scored an average of 12.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per match in 17 Bundesliga games. In May 2020 he received German citizenship. In the same month he joined the Ulm squad.

His older brother Cory played baseball and basketball at Columbia University .
