Dytiki Lesvos ( Greek Δυτική Λέσβος 'West Lesbos' ) is a municipality on the Greek island of Lesbos in the North Aegean region . It was formed in 2019 by separating the municipality of Lesvos, created in 2011, from seven municipal districts. The administrative seat is the port city of Kalloni .

Administrative division

After the municipal reform in 1997, the island of Lesbos was divided into 13 municipalities. These were merged as part of the 2010 administrative reform according to the principle of “every island is a municipality” on January 1, 2011 to form the municipality of Lesbos ( Δήμος Λέσβου Dímos Lésvou ). After this merger turned out to be inexpedient for the administration, the division into two municipalities was decided in March 2019. The municipality of Dytiki Lesbos is made up of seven municipal districts, the administrative seat is the coastal town of Kalloni on the gulf of the same name.
