On April 11, 2015, the Boeing 757-200 with the aircraft registration HB-JJE was confiscated at the airport in Paris , a Congolese entrepreneur sued in France against the Republic of the Congo and was won, whereupon the aircraft was confiscated in Paris. On April 26, the machine could be triggered and returned to regular operation.
In October 2016, Equatorial Congo Airlines had to cease flight operations due to unpaid bills.
