EFAF Challenge Cup
The EFAF Challenge Cup is a European Cup - sport competition for European club teams in American football . The EFAF Challenge Cup is the third club competition of the European Federation of American Football (EFAF) alongside the EFL and the EFAF Cup . The cup was held for the first time in 2009.
Challenge Cup
Under the umbrella of the EFAF , comparable to the UI Cup in football, European football teams from the highest national leagues compete against each other in an annual competition and play for the EFAF Challenge Cup . While the Challenge Cup is aimed at teams from the south-eastern EFAF member countries, the EFAF Atlantic Cup , which is held in parallel, is aimed at teams from the north-western EFAF members.
Participants are champions or runners-up of the "small" football nations as well as other high-ranking teams from the national leagues.
Game mode
In the group stage, four teams in two groups play out the group winners and runners-up. Each team plays once against each team in the group. The semi-finals and the final take place after the group stage. The group stage matches will be played between April 5th and May 31st.
