ERF Medien Österreich is a media company registered in Austria in the form of a GmbH . The company produces a radio program and is involved in the design of ERF Plus . ERF Plus is a program radio and brings topics such as culture and society, life stories, life support and current reports. history

The "ERF Austria" was founded in September 1981 as a registered association in St. Pölten . The first chairman of the association was Werner Krömer. In 1984 the ERF moved into a house in Perchtoldsdorf .

The first broadcasts began in 1983 on the Italian broadcaster Radio-Valcanale . In 1985 and 1986 the ERF produced programs for Radio Zirog , which were broadcast from South Tyrol to Innsbruck . Since 1992, the ERF broadcasts can also be received via satellite ( Astra ). From 1993 the series “Die Radioperspektiven” is broadcast daily on Radio Tirana via medium wave , which can also be received via Astra a year later. ERF Austria has been offering a 24-hour radio channel on the Astra satellite since 1994. The ERF can also be received in Austria via some cable networks, for example in Innsbruck since 1997. Individual programs of the ERF can be received regionally in different areas, e.g. B. in Salzburg ( radio factory ), in Radenthein , as well as via Njoy Radio and A1 Radio . In 2006 the ERF tried to get a VHF frequency in Vienna, but this was rejected.

The radio work was supported for years by the program magazine Antenne , which was replaced in 2008 by the magazine Mehr . The work on the internet started in 2000 when www.erf.at went online.

In 2013 the association was dissolved and re-established as a media company. It took part in the DABplus restart in Vienna with its NOW Radio program, which was previously represented on the Internet and in the Austrian cable network of A1 Telekom Austria . In the meantime, the programs ERF Plus can be received in the DAB + federal mux on channel 5B in large parts of Austria and NOW radio in the Vienna DAB + multiplex in regular operation.

Goal setting

The aim of the non-profit association is to "publish the gospel of Jesus Christ and Christian values ​​in radio, television, print and internet media".

The radio broadcasts of ERF Austria are produced for different age and target groups.

Cooperations

ERF Austria is in close cooperation with the partner organization Trans World Radio (TWR). The ERF produces its programs in cooperation with ERF Germany , Switzerland and South Tyrol . Individual local radio stations (Radiofabrik, A1 Radio, Njoy) take over weekly ERF programs.
