Early Man is an American heavy and thrash metal band from Columbus , Ohio that was formed in 2003.

history

The band was formed in 2003 by guitarist and singer Mike Conte and drummer Adam Bennati. After they had developed some songs, a first self-titled EP followed. She also played with Mastodon in the US in 2005 , before the debut album Closing In was released in October via Matador Records . The release was followed by appearances on the east coast with Turbonegro and on the west coast of the United States with Fu Manchu . In 2010, The End Records followed up with the second album Death Potion .

style

The band plays a mix of classic heavy metal and thrash metal, so the music on the album Closing In is comparable to works by Metallica , Iron Maiden , Judas Priest and Black Sabbath . On the second album Death Potion the influences of Thrash Metal became clearer, so that comparisons with the old works of Metallica ( Kill 'Em All ) and Anthrax ( Fistful of Metal ) are drawn.
