geography

River course

The river has its source in the eastern part of Gregory National Park . From there it flows northeast to the Bullita Outstation settlement . There it turns its course to the northwest, breaks through - still in the national park - the Newcastle Range in the East Baines Gorge and crosses under the Victoria Highway at Bulla . Then it flows through the Auvergne settlement and a few kilometers north, together with the West Baines River, forms the Baines River .
