location
Ebendorf is a clustered village that lies in the east of the Lower Börde on the Kleine Sülze . Federal Motorway 2 and Federal Motorway 14 run directly on the outskirts .
Reorganization
As early as May 1, 1992, the communities of Barleben , Ebendorf and Meitzendorf founded the Mittelland administrative community to handle their administrative tasks . After a referendum, the three municipalities became the unitary municipality of Mittelland on July 1, 2004 , but was renamed Barleben on June 2, 2005 .
Since the merger of the Bördekreis and the Ohrekreis on July 1, 2007 to form the Börde district, Ebendorf has now been part of this newly formed district.
history
Ebendorf was probably settled as early as the 7th century, as finds in the field markings from 1836 show. The first documentary mention was made in 966 in a document from Bishop Bernhard von Halberstadt. The place remained in monastic ownership until 1552 .
Construction of the church began in 1457. A new building followed around 1660. In 1785, Ebendorf had 355 residents.
In addition to five quarries , there was a sugar factory , two chicory arrows , two windmills , a cheese factory and a brick factory in the village until around 1925 .
