Eberhard Fritz

Eberhard Fritz (* 1957 in Metzingen ) is a German historian and archivist . He researches u. a. on Pietism in Württemberg . Fritz has headed the archives of the House of Württemberg in Altshausen since 1987 .

Life

Eberhard Fritz was born in 2001 at the University of Paderborn with a dissertation Radical Pietism in Württemberg. Doctorate on Religious Ideals in Conflict with Social Realities . For this he received the Philipp-Matthäus-Hahn-Preis of the city of Kornwestheim in 2002 . In addition to numerous essays on the social and impact history of Pietism and Radical Pietism, Fritz presented other articles on social-historical topics in Württemberg. He traced the history of the House of Württemberg, the social history of the royal court in Württemberg (1806–1918), viticulture in Württemberg, the development of the rural community in southwest Germany, the history of the Altshausen Teutonic Order and the Thirty Years' War .

Memberships

Fritz is a board member of the Association of German Archivists and sits on the advisory board of the Württemberg History and Antiquity Association .
