Eberhard Mühlan (born February 21, 1947 ) is a Christian - conservative religious scholar, non-fiction author and evangelical family pedagogue , as well as co-founder of the TEAM.F association .

Life

Mühlan studied at the Braunschweig University of Education and then worked from 1971 as an English and religion teacher. Since 1978 he was employed as the educational director of the " Faith Center " in Wolfenbüttel .

Mühlan was also critically questioned within the church in the 1980s because his exit from the BEFG is said to have slowed down the dialogue between the German Evangelical Alliance and the FFP in 1982.

1987 Mühlan was one of the founders of the association “TEAM.F - New Life for Families e. V. ”(initially under the name“ New Life - New Families ”). The associated “academy” was headed by Mühlan from 2006 to 2013, and part-time specialist lecturers were trained in the areas of family and education, marriage preparation and marriage - also on a Christian fundamentalist basis.

In the 1990s, ZDF ran several episodes of his educational guide "Mensch, Mama!" In which he appeared with his wife. He was also repeatedly invited by other television stations as an "expert" on talk shows when it came to family issues.

In 2001 he began studying "Intercultural Studies" (NCIU / TheMA) at the University of Wales , which he completed in 2010 with his doctorate. He officially retired in spring 2012, but continues to work as a speaker.

Mühlan is married to Claudia Mühlan, they have seven biological children and six adopted children.

Teaching and criticism

Mühlan advocates a biblically oriented conception of man and a family model. He wrote numerous "educational guides" in which his view of the world and his experience come into their own. He has inter alia various repeatedly in his books for young people Metal -Bands ( "The musicians of these groups [...] pray open the devil") warned is against sex before marriage occurred, has homosexuality and masturbation as Sin denotes and claims that HIV pathogens are so small that they can penetrate the wall of condoms and therefore do not offer effective protection. According to him, “ God's fatherliness” should be a model for Christian parents. He propagates a so-called “family house” as emotional security, guidance for independence and growing up within “safe boundaries”.
