Eberhard Naujoks

Eberhard Naujoks (born June 3, 1915 in Darmstadt ; † November 13, 1996 in Tübingen ) was a German historian and university professor .

Life

Naujoks began to study German , history and geography at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1933 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . As an inactive , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin and the Hessian Ludwigs-Universität Gießen . He put the two state exams in 1938 and 1940, and a doctorate in Giessen for Dr. phil. In World War II he served from 1940 to 1945 as a sergeant of artillery in the army (Wehrmacht) . In 1948 he went to the Department of History at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen as a research assistant , where he qualified as a professor in 1955 and became a private lecturer in modern history . In Tübingen he became an adjunct professor in 1964 and held the chair for modern history in 1971 . He wrote authoritative articles on press policy in the German Empire .
