Eberhard von Minckwitz

Eberhard von Minckwitz (born May 18, 1910 in Berlin ; † May 7, 1995 there ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was a lawyer and notary in Berlin and a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Eberhard von Minckwitz was born as the son of the Prussian officer Heinrich Krafft von Minckwitz in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. He passed the Abitur at the Evangelical Gymnasium for the Gray Monastery . He then studied law and political science at the Friedrich Wilhelm University in Berlin (today Humboldt University). As a student in 1928, he became a member of the German High Seas Sports Association Hansa (DHH) and the Berlin fraternity Hevellia . After his exams he was a trainee lawyer in the higher court district and was admitted to the bar in 1939 . From 1940 he took part in the French campaign as an officer and was later transferred to the army administration. In 1943 he became divisional director. After the Second World War , he was admitted as a lawyer and notary in Berlin-Wilmersdorf from 1955 . From 1949 to 1965 he was a member of the Cathedral Church College in Berlin and since 1950 Knight of the Order of St. John. From 1956 chairman of the Wilmersdorf district association of the CDU . From 1959 to 1963 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives.

He was married to Margarete von Minckwitz, b. Koopmann (1916-2000). The marriage had four children. One daughter is Barbara von Minckwitz , an actress and lawyer.
