Eckart Pott

Eckart Pott (born February 19, 1948 in Bünde ) is a German biologist , author and nature photographer .

Life

Pott attended the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium in Bünde . He began to publish his first books while studying biology. In 1980 he was at the Department of Biology of the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg with a thesis on Experimental studies on the impact and enrichment of herbicides in Daphnia pulicaria, with special consideration of s- triazine atrazine to Dr. rer. nat. PhD.

Pott is the author of various nature travel guides and ornithological illustrated books, some of which have been translated into other languages. As a lecturer and tour guide, he also accompanied several trips on the MS Bremen . Among other things, his work Ravensburger Tierlexikon from A – Z, published in 1993 by Ravensburger Buchverlag , appeared in several editions.

Pott lives in Stuttgart-Feuerbach .
