Edan Alexandra Lepucki (born in Santa Monica , Los Angeles County ) is an American writer.

Life

Edan Lepucki studied at Oberlin College and the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop . She writes essays and short stories for various newspapers and magazines and for the online magazine The Millions in the USA. She conducts writing workshops in Los Angeles.

Lepucki's first novel California became known because her publisher Hachette was in a dispute with the mail order company Amazon and the American comedian Stephen Colbert publicly protested against the supposed economic superiority of Amazon and therefore on the recommendation of Sherman Alexie to buy Lepucki's book from other retailers called. The book got into the New York Times bestseller list .
