Edgar Moreira da Cunha SDV (born August 21, 1957 in Riachão do Jacuípe Bahia , Brazil ) is Bishop of Fall River in the USA.
Life
Edgar Moreira da Cunha joined the religious community of the Vocationists , made his profession on February 11, 1975 and was ordained a priest on March 27, 1982 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Bishop of Ucres and Auxiliary Bishop in Newark on June 27, 2003 . He was ordained episcopal on September 3 of the same year by the Archbishop of Newark, John Joseph Myers ; Co- consecrators were Nicholas Anthony DiMarzio , Bishop of Brooklyn , and Arthur Joseph Serratelli , Auxiliary Bishop of Newark.
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Fall River on July 3, 2014 .
