Edgar Nakladal

Edgar Nakladal (born July 6, 1961 in Berlin ) is a former German sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the Athletics Junior European Championships in 1979 , he won gold in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the German team consisting of Thomas Giessing , Uwe Schmitt and Hartmut Weber .

In 1982 he was third in the German championships. At the European Athletics Championships in Athens he was eliminated in the first round of the individual competition and started with Erwin Skamrahl , Harald Schmid and Weber in the run-up to the 4-by-400-meter relay. In the final, which won the German relay, he was replaced by Giessing.

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 , Nakladal started in the intermediate run of the 4-by-400-meter relay. The German quartet qualified for the final with the line-up of Skamrahl, Jörg Vaihinger , Nakladal and Schmid. With Weber instead of Nakladal, it won the silver medal there.

Nakladal, who started for the OSC Berlin , set his best time of 45.97 s on June 24, 1983 in Bremen .
