Edgar Würth

Edgar Würth (born March 20, 1931 in Buchdorf ) is a German politician . He was 1st mayor and member of the state parliament.

Life

Würth joined the CSU in 1950 as a 19-year-old and was a co-founder of the Junge Union in the Donauwörth district and the CSU local branch in Buchdorf. From May 1, 1966 to June 30, 1972 he was a member of the Buchdorf municipal council, then until April 30, 1990 the 1st mayor of his home municipality. During this time, the maintenance of the primary school by joining the Monheim School Association , the incorporation of Baierfeld in 1976, membership in the Monheim administrative community from May 1, 1978, the construction of the kindergarten and the development of construction and industrial areas were important decisions.

Würth was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from November 12, 1974 to July 29, 1990 (8th to 11th electoral term). As a member of parliament, he was an advocate of the creation of administrative communities that kept many communities - including his home town of Buchdorf - independent of local politics.

He was a member of the Donau-Ries district council from July 1, 1972 to April 30, 1996. In recognition of his work, the municipality of Buchdorf has awarded him the honorary title of former mayor .
