Edgerton Roland Clarke
Edgerton Roland Clarke (born February 14, 1929 in Cambridge , Jamaica ) is Old Archbishop of Kingston in Jamaica .
Life
Edgerton Roland Clarke was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Kingston on February 2, 1960 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on September 14, 1967 first Bishop of Montego Bay . The Apostolic Nuncio in Haiti , Marie-Joseph Lemieux OP , donated him episcopal ordination on November 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were John Joseph McEleney S.J. , Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica; and Samuel Emmanuel Carter SJ, Auxiliary Bishop of Kingston, Jamaica.
On November 11, 1994, he was named Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica. On February 17, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
