Edita Tamošiūnaitė

Edita Tamošiūnaitė (born February 28, 1976 in Jauniūnai , Širvintos Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian teacher and politician , who has been Deputy Mayor of Vilnius Municipality since October 2017 .

Life

Edita Tamošiūnaitė completed her bachelor's degree in Lithuanian language in 1998 at the Philology Faculty of Vilniaus universitetas , in 2004 her master's degree in educology ( educational management ) at Vilniaus pedagoginis universitetas and in 2011 her master's degree in public administration at Mykolo Romerio universitetas in Vilnius . From 2002 to 2007 she was the director of the Rudamina grammar school in the Vilnius district , from 2007 to 2013 she worked in the administration of the Vilnius municipality . From 2013 to 2016 she was Lithuania's Deputy Minister of Education and Science in the Butkevičius cabinet .

She speaks English, Russian and Polish.

Edita Tamošiūnaitė has been Deputy Minister for Education and Science , Deputy Minister Dainius Pavalkis in the Butkevičius cabinet since 2013 . Since April 22, 2015 she has been a member of the Vilnius Municipality Council .

She is a member of the Lietuvos lenkų rinkimų akcija .
