Edith Graefl

Edith Gräfl (born November 7, 1955 in Mainz ) is a German lawyer and presiding judge at the Federal Labor Court .

Life

Edith Gräfl completed her legal training in 1981 with the second state examination in Stuttgart . Afterwards she initially worked as a lawyer , but at the end of 1982 she was appointed to a position at the public prosecutor's office at the Heidelberg Regional Court as a probationary judge. However, when she was hired, she was seconded to the Mannheim Labor Court (Heidelberg Chamber) . At the beginning of 1985 she was transferred to the Stuttgart Labor Court , where she was appointed judge at the Labor Court in August of the same year . In January 1994 she moved from the Baden-Württemberg to the Saxon labor courts . There she was initially a supervisory judge at the Labor Court in Chemnitz and at the same time was seconded to the State Labor Court of Saxony . In January 1995 she became the presiding judge at the Saxon State Labor Court.

In February 1998 Edith Gräfl was appointed judge at the Federal Labor Court. She began her judicial work there in the 6th Senate of the Federal Labor Court . In 2002 she was assigned to the 7th Senate and later became vice chairman of that Senate. In 2008 she became President of the German Labor Court Association. V. elected. In July 2010 she was appointed chairwoman of the 3rd Senate of the Federal Labor Court. On October 1, 2014, she moved to the 7th Senate of the Federal Labor Court as chairwoman .
