Edmund von Lattorff

Matthias Alexius Friedrich Edmund von Lattorff (born February 10, 1823 in Klieken , † July 27, 1900 in Berlin ) was a German administrative officer and parliamentarian.

Life

origin

His parents were Matthias August Karl Wilhem von Lattorff (* April 24, 1794; † January 9, 1870) and his wife Amalie Pauline von Houwald (* September 4, 1801; † January 22, 1872) from the Straupitz family. The father was the master of Klieken-Oberhof and the royal Prussian chamberlain Heinrich von Houwald was his uncle. Alfred von Lattorf was his brother.

Career

Edmund von Lattorff studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1842 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. From 1854 to 1879 he was district administrator for the district of Salzwedel . He was then a senior councilor in Stralsund . After his retirement he lived in Berlin.

From 1867 to 1873 and from 1879 to 1882 Lattorff sat as a member of the constituency Magdeburg 1 (Salzwedel, Gardelegen) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . He was also a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony .

He married Marie von Alvensleben on October 26, 1858 (* March 25, 1839; † January 25, 1930). She was the daughter of the Royal Prussian Privy Council of Count Ludolf Friedrich Ferdinand von Alvensleben (* January 23, 1803 - July 11, 1889) and Count Louise Therese Pauline von der Schulenburg-Priemern (* February 5, 1810; † 27. September 1882).
