Eduard Harnier (born March 29, 1854 in Kassel-Oberneustadt ; † June 10, 1936 there ; full name: Eduard Karl Richard Henri Gabriel Harnier ) was a German lawyer , lawyer and notary who was politically active as President of the Hessian Communal Parliament and a member of the NLP and the DDP worked.

Life

Harnier was the son of the general practitioner Adolph Louis Gabriel Harnier and his wife Henriette, née Weis. On August 10, 1880, he married Meta Wilhelmine Marie, née Müller (1859-1936), in Alsfeld . Harnier studied law and became a lawyer and notary in Kassel. He received the title of Privy Councilor of Justice .

He was a city ​​councilor and represented the constituency of the city of Kassel from 1901 to 1920 and from 1921 to 1925 in the municipal parliament. In 1919 he was President of the State Parliament.
