Karl Rabe von Pappenheim

Karl Julius Johann Rabe von Pappenheim (born August 19, 1847 at the Dürrerhof manor near Eisenach, † March 28, 1918 in Kassel ) was a German manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Karl Rabe von Pappenheim studied at the University of Jena from 1866 to 1868 . In 1867 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Jena . After completing his studies, he became the owner of a manor in Liebenau (Hessen) with Hofgeismar . He was chamberlain .

Rabe von Pappenheim was chairman of the Hessian Provincial Committee, from 1900 to 1913 of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hessen-Nassau and from 1899 to 1917 of the Kurhessischer Kommunallandag . From 1894 until his death in 1918 he sat as a member of the constituency of Kassel 2 (Hofgeismar, Wolfhagen) in the Prussian House of Representatives . On May 2, 1894, he lost his mandate due to a declaration of invalidity, but was directly re-elected. He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party , of which he was counted as a leading member.
