Alexander Alberti

Alexander Alberti (born April 22, 1855 in Wörsdorf , † April 14, 1929 in Wiesbaden ) was a German lawyer and politician ( DFP ).

Life

Alexander Alberti was the son of a chief forester. He attended schools in Wörsdorf, Nastätten and Hadamar and then studied in Heidelberg , Bonn and Berlin law . He completed his studies with a doctorate to become a Dr. jur. from.

From about 1882 he lived in Wiesbaden as a lawyer and notary . There he was a member of the citizens' committee and, since 1891, of the city council. In 1902 he became deputy city councilor and from 1916 to 1923 he was city councilor. He was a member of the Nassau municipal parliament and was its president in 1918. He was also a member of the state committee. After the November Revolution of 1918, he was appointed police president of Wiesbaden by the workers 'and soldiers' council, while the state-appointed police president, Bernhard von Schenck , was and remained in office. He was expelled during the Ruhr War .

He was active in the Schulze-Delitzsch cooperative system. He was chairman of the board of directors of the Große Vorußverein (later Wiesbadener Bank ), from 1893 to May 1928 director of the Central Rhine Association of Acquisitions and Economic Cooperatives and member and from 1907 to 1927 head of the general committee and the select committee of the German cooperative associations in Berlin.

He was appointed to the Privy Council of Justice.
