Eduard Kado

Eduard Kado (born August 15, 1875 in Memel ; † January 2, 1946 in Lübeck ) was a German painter , draftsman , sculptor and craftsman .

Life

Eduard Kado studied from 1892 to 1899 at the Art Academy in Königsberg , then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and at the Académie Julian in Paris . He later took on trips through Holland, England, Scandinavia and Italy further before drawing teacher and later teacher was on Löbenichtschen High School in Königsberg. In 1907 a special exhibition of his works took place in Teichert's art salon in Königsberg. After retiring around 1941, he moved to Lübeck, where he died in 1946.

Kado mainly painted landscapes, figure pictures and portraits, but also religious motifs, war scenes, frescoes and sculptures can be found in his oeuvre. He was a member of the General German Art Cooperative and belonged to the Reich Association of German Artists .
