Eduard Klug (born September 30, 1878 in Mömlingen ; † October 5, 1946 in Amberg ) was a German local politician of the Bavarian People's Party (BVP) and Lord Mayor of the city of Amberg.

Life

The lawyer Eduard Klug worked for the city of Amberg for over 25 years. After graduating, he entered the administration of the Kingdom of Bavaria . In 1907 he was elected as a legally qualified magistrate and in 1913 as a legally qualified mayor of the city of Amberg. From 1914 Eduard Klug participated in the First World War . After a long period of French imprisonment, he was re-elected as first mayor by the city council in 1920. During the tenure of Dr. Eduard Klug, the town hall had been rebuilt from 1923 and given the war memorial.
