Eduard Nacht (born December 2, 1939 , † April 16, 2016 in Langenthal ) was a Swiss journalist and webmaster .

Eduard Italo Nacht was born in Bern to Hans Erwin Nacht († 1947) and Angèle Nacht, née Bichsel. In the 1930s, his father was a correspondent for numerous Swiss newspapers in Rome and, after the outbreak of war, he was the responsible foreign editor for the Swiss media press (later Swiss Political Correspondence ). The family has been recorded in Vechigen (BE) since the middle of the 17th century and in Bern (civic community) since the end of the 19th century.

Eduard Nacht worked from the 1960s as a journalist for the Swiss Political Correspondence , then for the Basler Nachrichten , the Tages-Anzeiger , the Berner Zeitung and other major Swiss newspapers, for which he spoke about everyday political life in the Federal Parliament and as a correspondent about crisis areas others from the Vietnam War , reported.

In the 1970s he headed the newsroom of what was then the monopoly radio DRS and took over the "main news" from the Swiss dispatch agency by the radio editors. Then it was night in the founding team of the Zurich Radio Prize-winning show index 5vor12 , the first consumer program on German-speaking Swiss radio.

Nacht was editor-in-chief in the Rheintaler Group and from 1979 to 1982 for the Thuner Tagblatt ; he was the chief editor of the Langenthaler Tagblatt .

In the 1990s he was press officer at Bedag Informatik AG .

He was a member of the central board of the Swiss Cynological Society and as such was responsible for the publication of the dog magazine .

Today he is the owner of the media office TCN Eduard Nacht AG in Langenthal and works as a freelance journalist for Swiss daily and weekly newspapers. He is known u. a. through his articles in the magazine Computerworld Switzerland , his reports in Blick and SonntagsBlick as well as in other newspapers and magazines.
