Eduard Schweingruber
Eduard Schweingruber (born February 9, 1899 , † December 1, 1975 in Lenzburg , resident in Rüeggisberg ) was a Swiss theologian , psychologist and author .
Life
Following family tradition, Eduard Schweingruber attended the Free Gymnasium in Bern and then the Preachers' Seminar of the Evangelical Community in Reutlingen.
As a psychological advisor, he and his wife, the Alsatian doctor Alice Schweingruber-Hütt (1902–1989), ran the Kurhaus Kardia in Gais in Appenzell in the 1930s . After studying theology at the University of Zurich, he was ordained as a reformed pastor of the regional church in 1941 .
From 1942 Schweingruber was a parish helper, from 1947 until his retirement in 1964 one of the two pastors of Kilchberg ZH . From 1943 he had his official residence in the former house of the poet Conrad Ferdinand Meyer . The wife of his official colleague Gian Caprez, Greti Caprez-Roffler , who was the first woman to be elected pastor in Graubünden in 1931, he denied any activity as a theologian. In 1955 he gave the funeral sermon for Thomas Mann .
Eduard Schweingruber died in 1975 and was buried in the Kilchberg cemetery.
